    Are high-performance resins that have excellent heat resistance, strength, chemical resistance, and processability and they also have similar characteristics of steel or ceramics. But there are some drawbacks when they are applied to real world – extremely difficult to plate. To tackle this issue, ELPIS has successfully developed PoSEP(Plating on Super Engineering Plastic) technology.

  • Among the disadvantages of super engineering plastics, Un-plateable characteristic hinders super engineering plastics from being applied to the industry demanding high reliabilities.

  • ELPIS’s proprietary PoSEP thechnology, combining electroless, eletro and colloid plating methods to plate metal onto target metalizing materials such as PPS, LCP, PPA, PEEK and etc. with high adhesiveness, is first-ever applied to plastic cavity filter for 5G 28Ghz telecommunication devices.

  • In 2020

    ELPIS successfully met all the requirements specifically required for RF Plastic Cavity Filter due to its proprietary plating technology; PoSEP. As a result, PPS based RF Plastic Cavity Filter can be mass produced without jeopardizing high reliability of aluminum filter which has to be much heavier than plastic.
